6 Guys Brewing

Six Guys Brewings started as a bunch of friends in Rochester, NY who rather enjoyed drinking craft beers.  While it is not difficult to find craft beers in upstate, NY, it is hard for a bunch of engineers to not wonder how something is done, thus began Six Guys Brewing.

While our batches of beer are small, our hearts are big, and we are always looking to trying something new and different, from Chicken Wing Beer (brewed with Frank’s Red Hot), to an IPA brewed solely with homegrown whole leaf hops, to seasonal Pumpkin and Christmas ales, there is always something new to try.

Depending on who you ask, the question of who the six guys are may change, but that doesn’t really matter to any of us, we are all just a bunch of friends who like to Brew, and sharing equipment certainly doesn’t hurt.  So, on brew day, several of us get together, brew a batch of beer and chat things up while enjoying the company of good friendship, good beer, and the wonder of what the next batch will taste like.

We hope this site provides some insight into our brewing process, how we got started and the equipment we use.  We’ll be posting recipes, pictures, and comments about local (and maybe not so local) brewfests and reviews of new and interesitng beers we find.  We hope you enjoy the visit.
